When is the next Steam sale 2023? Everything you need to know

There’s never been as many people on Steam as there are right now. In fact, Steam has just seen a record number of concurrent users – with more than 33,000,000 gamers actively using the platform.

For those new to Steam, you’ll be pleased to know there are often a handful of sales. Last month (December 2022) for example, saw the Steam Winter Sale kick off – with hundreds of titles getting their prices slashed in time for Christmas.

So, when’s the next Steam Sale? That’s what we’re here to help you find out.

When is the next Steam sale?

According to Steam DB, the next Steam sale will take place on January 23. It’ll be the Steam Base Builder Fest – and it’ll run for 7 days, ending on January 30 – just like last year’s event.

If the timings are similar to last year, we can expect the Steam Base Builder Fest to launch at 10:00 AM PST (UTC-8).

The first Base Builder Fest will, according to Steam, feature “discounts and demos on current and upcoming games, this event is for games focused on the spirit of building habitable spaces, whether a single building or collection of buildings.”

For those who are not into building games, the big event you want to get in the calendar is the Steam Spring Sale – which is expected to run from March 16 – 23.

It’s here where we’re likely to see a greater variety of games discounted – at least for the first time in the year. Following this, we’ll likely see, summer, autumn and winter sales follow suit.
